Weee Another goodies from Japan~~~

If some of you might remember I got a J-List $50 coupon from Anime-Source.com manga contest.... bought myself some goodies, Haruhiko Mikimoto Illustration Book, Manga ink pens and Shiseido Uno face wash (you can't find this face wash anywhere in South East Asia except from Japan, it used to sell in Hong Kong but not anymore *sobs*).

Also my pre-ordered "Yukikaze" figure made by Alter have finally arrived after a year. The seller from rakuten kept sending to the wrong address *slap head* no wonder it didn't arrive. In the end, I requested it to be sent to my office so everything was resolved ^___________________________________^  (A very happy man for past 3 days)

Kotonoha no Niwa (The Garden of Words) Review

Kotonoha no Niwa by Makoto Shinkai sensei~~~ Hope everyone of you had watch it!! For those in Japan might have watch it earlier but for us outside of Japan might be slightly later (lol).

The animation was just stunning!!!! Nothing to complain from Shinkai-sensei, just keep improving and improving... the  greenery landscape and raining background was just great. I really love it.

The story is good and solid but I believe can be better. The early and middle part was good very nicely pace and try to understand more about the two main characters life, troubles, past and reason for meeting each other. But the ending, I felt a bit rush and kind of open question unlike his other work "Byosoku Go Senchimetoru" which have a proper ending. I hope a manga would be drawn to give us more of the story.

The music "Rain" by Motohiro Hata really fit in well.... no complain! Just watch and listen to the song and ENJOY IT (^_^)

Thank you Shinkai-sensei!!!! For your hard work on making this amazing animated movie!!! Looking forward on your next project!!! I will be sure to support you!!!! CHEERS!!

Cure Festival 2013 (Singapore)

A very very late report on Cure Festival from me. I have been busy after uploading the pictures on my facebook album.

It was an outdoor event near the Marina Bay Sand hotels. The weather was cloudy and humid but there was always a slight brisk of wind blowing so it wasn't that bad. Except the back of my neck got burnt (>_<"). Well anyway because of the weather I should have used more flash on my picture taking or maybe edit it with photoshop.

The event was crowded as usual and a with wide range of anime character being cosplayed. Especially, being in Singapore you would expect quite a number of foreign cosplayers/visitor/photographer(?) attending the event. The main attraction would be JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Posing contest and Pitcha, Japanese Cosplayer that was one of the judge of the contest. Sorry that I didn't take much of the stage event. There were a few Kagura Cosplayers, Mirai Nikki's Yandere girl and I was surprise to see Dark from DN Angel (very rare to see DN Angel cosplayers since 10 years ago I guess).

I left early since I got other stuff to do but all in all a good and fun event. I manage to meet a cosplayer that added me on facebook last year. Hope to meet him again at other events. There was also an unoffical 2nd day for Cure Festival but I didn't attend. Seen some of the pictures and they were having so much fun.
